1. Service Description

OktoNote is an AI-powered personal productivity application operated by Thinslate Labs, LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). The service processes various content types (text, audio, images, documents up to 10MB) to help organize and enhance your personal notes and information.

2. Personal Use Only

OktoNote is designed and optimized for individual, personal use only. Our credit limits and usage plans are specifically calibrated for typical single-user patterns.

Prohibited Uses

The service is not intended for:

• Organizational or team sharing of a single account
• Business or commercial content processing
• Multiple users accessing the same account
• Reselling or redistributing our AI processing services

While we don't actively monitor for account sharing, our usage limits are designed assuming single-user access patterns. Accounts that consistently exceed normal usage patterns may be subject to review.

3. Credit System & Billing

How Credits Work

Our service operates on a credit-based system where different content types consume different amounts of credits based on processing complexity:

• Text processing: Based on character count
• Audio processing: Based on duration in seconds
• Image processing: Based on number of images
• Document processing: Based on page count

Usage Optimization

Credit limits are set to ensure typical personal users are not rate-limited during normal usage patterns. Our plans are optimized so that individual users can process their personal content without hitting limits under normal usage.

Credit Exhaustion

When your credit limit is reached:

• Content processing will be paused until your credits reset according to your subscription plan
• Credits reset based on your billing cycle (weekly, monthly, or yearly)
• You will receive notifications as you approach your limits
• Additional credit purchases are not currently available - we will notify users when this option becomes available

4. Content & File Restrictions

• Maximum file size: 10MB per upload
• Supported formats: Text, audio, images, documents
• Prohibited content: Illegal material, harmful content, or content that violates applicable laws

5. AI Processing & Third-Party Services

We utilize third-party AI services to process your content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated results may not be 100% accurate and should be reviewed before use for any important purposes.

Your content may be processed by our third-party AI service providers solely for the purpose of providing our services to you. We do not use your content to train AI models or for any other purposes beyond processing your requests.

6. Data Retention & Ownership

Your Content

• You retain full ownership of all content you upload
• Your content remains accessible until you choose to delete it or delete your account entirely
• We do not automatically delete user content
• You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide our services

Account Deletion

When you delete your account, all associated content and data are permanently removed from our systems and cannot be recovered.

7. Service Availability & Modifications

• We do not guarantee 100% uptime or continuous availability
• We reserve the right to modify features, pricing, or discontinue services with reasonable notice
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
• Geographic availability: Worldwide (no regional restrictions)

8. User Accounts & Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized access
• Providing accurate information during account creation

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• OktoNote is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any data loss, business interruption, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
• AI processing results are not guaranteed to be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose

10. Termination

Your Rights

You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us.

Our Rights

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these terms of service
• Upload illegal or prohibited content
• Engage in abusive or disruptive behavior
• Attempt to circumvent technical limitations

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make changes:

• We will notify users via email
• The updated terms will be posted on our website
• Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance
• Material changes will include a reasonable notice period
